PUMPING: By its construction the Inline possesses a high volume non-positive pumping action which, in most cases will be sufficient to satisfy the users requirement without any need for auxiliary pumps. For example, Model 410 of our homogenisers range; powered by a 10HP motor will process and pump simultaneously upto 900LPM its along a 2"(51mm) pipeline. Where, due to high viscosity, vertical head or length of pipeline, the output falls below the required figure, it may be supplemented by the insertion of an auxiliary pump into the system without reducing the homogenizing efficiency of the machine.

RECIRCULATORY PROCESSING: In certain cases where a higher degree of homogenization or comminution is required, than can be obtained by a single passage, it is possible to achieve the required results by using two or more machines in series. However, in this situation, it is more usual to pass the product several times through the same machine by a process of recirculation. REINJECTION LEADS TO AUTO VORTEXING AND AVOIDS SUPPLEMENTARY AGITATION IN MOST CASES.

AERATION: Since the Inline and the associated pipework form a completely closed system, aeration is impossible unless air is deliberately introduced into the pipeline. When recirculating, care should be taken to ensure that the pipe returning the material to the holding vessel should at all times be well below the surface of the liquid to prevent introducing air by splashing on the surface.
